Sep 12, 2026, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM - Padel Up Katowice, ul. Żelazna 15a

Maple Bear community get-together - kindly hosted thanks to the Białek family. A great opportunity to meet new families and connect with the community.

Please block the 10:00 AM-2:00 PM window in your calendar - a detailed schedule will be sent separately.
For new students

If your child is joining Maple Bear this year, you'll receive an email with information about the starter pack and instructions on how to proceed. The starter pack is included in tuition and can be collected at school. It contains 4 clothing items and a backpack.

For all students

The remaining items - hoodies, T-shirts, trousers, or shorts - can be ordered individually through the Maple Bear online shop. Orders are shipped directly to the address provided at checkout. We encourage ordering in advance - processing takes about 2 weeks.

Important - uniform rules
  • Children should come to school in a full uniform every day - a plain T-shirt or polo alone is not sufficient
  • A hoodie or sweater is also a mandatory item
  • School trousers may be replaced with navy-blue tracksuit or fabric trousers from your own wardrobe
  • In primary school, a PE kit is mandatory (T-shirt and shorts)
  • Indoor shoes are required - please make sure they have a light-coloured sole
Please make sure the uniform is complete. The school will monitor compliance with the uniform policy.

The starter kit includes: Polish textbooks, notebooks, writing supplies, and art materials for class activities.

Parents are only asked to buy a pencil case (for the child's favourite crayons/markers) and a water bottle (please label it with your child's name).

Kinderpedia is the platform we'll use to share the most important information about school and kindergarten life.

Activation links to parent accounts will be sent to the email addresses of parents whose children are joining the school. If you haven't received your invitation - please get in touch, we're happy to help.

Video guides

We'll also share a Kinderpedia user manual.

We continue our partnership with Kofeina Bistro. Every day children receive breakfast, a two-course lunch, and an afternoon snack - fresh, home-style meals prepared on site.

Parents of children with allergies or special dietary needs are asked to fill in the survey:

Primary School

Activities will run according to the schedule, in class groups or combined groups (grades 1-3 and 4-6). The activity selection form will be sent in the last week of August, along with the detailed list and timetable.

Kindergarten and Reception

We're continuing our existing offering, run as part of an EU-funded project. Afternoon activities:

  • Robotics - digital skills
  • Little Einstein Club / Mental Maths (SK and Grade 0)
  • Nature Explorers
  • Green Skills - environmental awareness
  • Masterchef - healthy eating
  • Group SI therapy sessions

Swimming lessons - pool at Spodek, for Grade 0 only.

The timetable for the new school year will be sent by August 31, 2026.

As a reminder, mandatory classes - stemming from the Polish core curriculum and the Maple Bear curriculum - take place during the following hours:

  • Grades 1-3: 8:35 AM-3:00 PM
  • Grades 4-6: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Kindergarten: breakfast at 8:30 AM, teaching activities 9:00 AM-2:30 PM
Changes to the timetable may still occur until September 15 - partly due to the availability of external providers. We'll do our best to keep changes to a minimum.

Please complete the transport survey (for current and new families interested) by August 19, 2026:

Form - request school transport →

By August 24, we'll let you know about seat availability, route, and price.

Completing the survey does not guarantee a seat - availability depends on the number of requests and organisational capacity.
When we'll call a parent
  • Fever (37.5°C), vomiting, diarrhoea
  • Red/pink eyes, head lice
  • Sudden, unexplained rash
  • Signs of a serious illness (drowsiness, abnormal breathing, behavioural changes)
  • An illness that prevents the child from taking part in activities as usual
Emergencies

For a minor injury, parents are notified by phone and staff provide basic first aid. For a serious accident, emergency services are called and parents are notified immediately.

If your child needs an inhaler, EpiPen, or other medical equipment - please provide it to the school along with written information from a doctor on dosage and storage, plus written parental authorisation to administer it.

Maple Bear strictly follows national vaccination regulations.

The official list of homeroom teachers and staff at the school and kindergarten will be sent by August 27, 2026.

In upcoming messages you'll receive, among other things:

  • Instructions for the school entry access codes
  • Schedule of events and celebrations - by September 10, 2026
