How The Annual Review Process Works
Maple Bear’s Quality Assurance team conducts a comprehensive annual review into each school’s operational and teaching practices to ensure a consistent learning experience for all students across its global network.
Initially, each school does a self-assessment, evaluating the four key domains that are composed of multiple indicators.
They go through each indicator and assess their performance by giving themselves a rating and providing evidence for that particular indicator/domain.
Once the self-assessment has been completed, a reviewer visits the school and conducts their own assessment over the course of one to two days.
During this time, they meet with the administrative staff and teachers, examine the school’s self-review, observe classroom operations, and request any additional information.
They then sit down with the school faculty and discuss what they observed, identifying any areas of non-compliance and engaging in collaborative discussions on continuous school improvements.
One of the final key aspects of the review process is the development of school-wide goals with actionable steps for the upcoming year.
A detailed report is created in collaboration with the school to outline key findings, which will also be referenced the following year to determine if the school met its improvement goals and what its current academic and operational outcomes are in comparison.
